10 Best Product Review Platforms for Ecommerce Brands in 2026

We compared 10 product review platforms on collection, retail syndication and price. Only four can put reviews on a product that has no orders yet.

Only four of the 10 review platforms below can put reviews on a product that has no orders yet: Cohley, Bazaarvoice, PowerReviews and Skeepers, with Yotpo reaching it through partners. The other five collect reviews after purchase and display them, which works once orders arrive. Every new SKU, line extension and retail listing starts with an empty star rating, and a product with no reviews is a product shoppers skip.

Reviews are the trust layer of ecommerce.

Shoppers read them on your product pages, on Walmart.com and Target.com, in Google Shopping, and increasingly in AI shopping answers. Since May 2026, Google grounds its AI shopping answers in Bazaarvoice review feeds.

The short answer. For reviews generated on new SKUs or retail listings, with brand safety built in, Cohley. For retail syndication at enterprise scale, Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews. For a Shopify store that wants collection and display at a published price, Judge.me, Loox, Okendo or Stamped. For several ecommerce platforms and Google Seller Ratings, Yotpo or Reviews.io. For certified reviews plus gifted reviews in Europe, Skeepers.

Cohley is ours, so it's listed first, and we say where it isn't the fit. It generates reviews and feeds them into the tools you already run; it doesn't replace them. The other nine are laid out so you can choose without a sales call.

TL;DR

What is a product review platform?

A product review platform is software that collects reviews from customers after purchase, moderates and displays them on your product pages, and syndicates them to retailers and Google. A few also generate reviews through product sampling, so a product can carry reviews before it has orders.

That's the split to keep in mind. Review platforms do three jobs: generating reviews where there are none, collecting them after purchase, and displaying and syndicating them where shoppers decide. Most tools do the second and third. Only a few do the first, which is why this guide compares them in two tables.

Before these tools, collecting reviews meant emailing customers by hand and pasting quotes into product pages. Getting reviews onto Walmart.com or Target.com meant a separate process for every retailer.

What types of reviews can you collect?

TypeWhat it isWhere it helps
  • Text reviewsStar ratings and written reviews after purchaseYour product pages, retailer listings
  • Photo and video reviewsThe product in a customer's homeProduct pages, galleries, social and paid creative
  • Site and seller reviewsReviews of the store itselfGoogle Seller Ratings
  • Sampled reviewsFrom people who got the product free and disclosed itNew SKUs and retail listings

What should a review platform do?

Check these eight things:

  • Review generation. A sampling program that puts product with vetted reviewers who disclose the free product, so new SKUs launch with reviews.
  • Post-purchase collection. Automated email and SMS requests after delivery, with reminders, QR codes and in-email forms.
  • Retail syndication. Distribution to Walmart, Target and other retailers through a syndication network.
  • Google Shopping and Seller Ratings. Feeds that put stars in Google Shopping, Search and Ads.
  • Ecommerce platform coverage. Native integrations with Shopify, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
  • Visual UGC. Photo and video reviews, with galleries and rights handling.
  • AI moderation and summaries. AI that flags problems, drafts replies and summarizes sentiment.
  • Compliance. FTC disclosure built into the process, and SOC 2 or ISO 27001 for procurement.

How do the best review platforms compare?

Because the jobs differ, the first table covers review generation and the second covers collection and display.

Vendor list prices as of October 25, 2026 where published. Monthly figures are month-to-month unless marked. Product cost and shipping for sampling are extra everywhere.

How we compared them

We compared each platform on how reviews are collected or generated, syndication to retailers and Google, ecommerce platform coverage, AI features and pricing. Facts come from each vendor's own pricing, product or help pages as of October 2026, linked in each profile. Where a vendor doesn't publish a detail, we say so rather than guess. Cohley is listed first because it's ours. The other nine are listed, not ranked.

The 10 best product review platforms in 2026

1. Cohley

Cohley is a creator content platform for ecommerce and retail brands that need review volume, not another way to display reviews they don't have yet. It generates reviews through product sampling with vetted creators, then feeds them into the review tools you already run: Yotpo, Bazaarvoice and PowerReviews. Cohley isn't a collection and display tool. It doesn't send post-purchase emails or render the stars on your product page. You keep the review tool you have, and Cohley fills it with reviews on the SKUs that have none.

You brief the products that need reviews, and creators apply. Creators are screened before they join the network, and your team reviews each applicant before anyone gets product. Finn, Cohley's AI agent for creator content operations, works across the workflow, and AI Asset Analysis checks each submitted review against the requirements you set. Disclosure requirements are built into the Brief, so every review says it came from a free product.

Reviews flow into Yotpo, Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews and syndicate through their retail networks. The Yotpo integration sends reviews straight to your Yotpo admin and product pages once Yotpo's Trusted Vendor and Order MetaData features are enabled. The same Brief can return UGC, photos and video, and every plan includes perpetual content rights.

Better Your Health ran custom review sampling with Cohley across four supplement brands: RenewLife, Natural Vitality, NeoCell and Rainbow Light. It replaced a vendor with 30% completion, reached 99% completion and a 4.8 average star rating, and syndicated reviews through Bazaarvoice and its own site (Better Your Health case study).

Good for: brands that need review volume on new SKUs or retail listings: ecommerce and retail teams with brand-safety requirements launching on Walmart.com, Target.com or their own product pages.

Not a fit for: brands that only need to collect and display reviews they already have. You still need Yotpo, Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews to request post-purchase reviews and render them on your site. Cohley is also built for physical products that can be sampled.

Pricing: custom-quoted.

2. Yotpo

Yotpo is a reviews and visual UGC platform used by 35,000+ brands on Shopify, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. In 2025 it wound down its own email and SMS products to focus on reviews and loyalty. Collection runs on automatic post-purchase requests by email and SMS, with ESP orchestration through Klaviyo, Attentive or Postscript, plus in-mail forms and on-site widgets. Sampling isn't native: upper plans connect to partners such as Try & Review and SoPost.

Syndication reaches Walmart, Macy's, Target and hundreds of retail partners, with Walmart and the Bazaarvoice network reserved for Premium and Enterprise at an extra fee. Google Shopping ratings start on Starter after 50 reviews, and Google Seller Ratings on Pro after 100 verified site reviews. AI covers Smart Prompts, review summaries, smart sorting, AI moderation with FTC-aligned workflows, sentiment scoring and AI-assisted replies, with Reviews Atlas insights on Premium.

Good for: mid-market brands that want reviews, visual UGC and loyalty from one vendor across several ecommerce platforms, and plan to grow into the tiers that unlock retail syndication.

Not a fit for: brands that need Walmart or Bazaarvoice syndication, video galleries or sampling partners on a lower plan, since those sit on the upper tiers.

Pricing: public up to Pro, scaled by monthly orders. Free up to 50 orders, Starter $15 to $129/mo, Pro $119 to $379/mo up to 5,999 orders. Premium and Enterprise are custom-quoted on annual contracts.

3. Bazaarvoice

Bazaarvoice is the enterprise network that collects, displays and syndicates reviews across brand and retailer sites, used by 13,000+ brands and sold to retailers as well. If your reviews need to appear on Walmart.com, Target.com and 2,300+ other retailers, this is the network they travel on. Collection runs on post-purchase email invitations, which Bazaarvoice says drive up to 70% of review volume, with SMS on the Advanced package and Review Rewards sending a one-time coupon per approved review.

Sampling is native: Influenster's community of 9M+ shoppers receives products in exchange for honest reviews, and those reviews carry a "Received free product" badge. Since May 2026, Google grounds its AI shopping answers in Bazaarvoice direct feeds. AI covers Review Highlights, AI summaries, AI Insight Summaries and detection of AI-generated content.

Good for: enterprise brands selling through major retailers that need one network for collection, syndication and sampling, and can plan for an enterprise rollout.

Not a fit for: brands outside enterprise budgets or on the entry package. Essentials syndicates to one retailer only, the full network starts on Advanced, and APIs and Review Highlights sit in Enterprise, per the package descriptions. ISO 27001 is published; SOC 2 is not.

Pricing: custom-quoted across Essentials, Advanced and Enterprise packages. Vendr puts the median contract at $36,002 a year, with a range of $12,300 to $98,843.

4. PowerReviews

PowerReviews is the ratings and reviews specialist for enterprise brands and retailers, and since September 2025 a Syndigo product. It names Shopify, Shopify Plus, Magento and Salesforce Commerce Cloud as platforms. Collection runs on the Follow Up Email, write-a-review forms with up to five custom questions and media upload, and a Seller Ratings email. Share to Amazon lets reviewers post to client-supplied ASINs, and Receipt. Review. Collect. pulls verified reviews from a database of online and in-store purchases.

Sampling is native through the BzzAgent community of 1.5 million participants, with over 90% of recipients submitting a review and a 30-day turnaround. Reviews from free product carry a disclosure code or badge. Syndication runs on the Open Network, including Walmart, Target and Ulta, with no per-retailer charge. Review AI Summary, sentiment tags and Product Sentiment Analytics cover the AI side, with moderation marketed as 100% human.

Good for: enterprise brands and retailers that want sampling, retail syndication and Seller Ratings from one specialist.

Not a fit for: brands that need published pricing or a published SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report, since PowerReviews publishes neither.

Pricing: custom-quoted. Vendr puts the median contract at $31,000 a year, with a range of $9,594 to $41,969.

5. Judge.me

Judge.me is the most reviewed reviews app on Shopify, with a 5.0 rating across 49,000+ App Store reviews, and serves everyone from day-one founders to Shopify Plus stores. Collection runs on automated post-fulfillment emails with delivery-based timing and up to three reminders on the paid plan, plus QR codes for packaging inserts, imports from Amazon, Etsy and other apps, and two-way sync with the Shop app. SMS requests work through the SMSBump integration.

Reviews syndicate to Google Shopping, Rich Snippets, TikTok Shop, Meta Shop and the Shop app, with Google Shopping needing the paid plan and at least 50 eligible reviews. AI covers review summaries, reply drafts, translations into 38 languages, topic and sentiment labels, and auto-publish.

Good for: Shopify stores of any size that want unlimited review requests, photo and video reviews, and AI moderation without an order-based price.

Not a fit for: brands off Shopify, or brands that need Google Seller Ratings or retail syndication, which Judge.me doesn't offer. SMS depends on SMSBump, which Judge.me notes Yotpo is sunsetting.

Pricing: public: Free at $0 and Awesome at $15/mo, both with unlimited review requests and no order caps. 15-day free trial.

6. Okendo

Okendo is a Shopify-only customer marketing platform that bundles reviews with loyalty, referrals, quizzes and surveys, and it's a Shopify Plus Certified App. It sits between the $15 apps and the enterprise suites. Collection runs on email sequences with reminders, a Smart Review Form, a Review Rewards Engine and lookback campaigns, with SMS requests through Attentive or Postscript.

Syndication covers Google Shopping, Google Seller Ratings, the Shop app, TikTok Shop, Meta Shops and Walmart.com, several as add-ons. Since July 2026, reviews can also flow to the Bazaarvoice network, which Okendo puts at 1,900+ retail sites including Target and Walmart, on the Advanced plan or above with a Bazaarvoice contract. AI covers summaries, keywords, review management, translations, alt text and AI-powered replies, plus an Okendo MCP server released in August 2026.

Good for: Shopify and Shopify Plus brands that want reviews, loyalty and referrals from one vendor, plus Walmart or Bazaarvoice syndication without an enterprise suite.

Not a fit for: brands off Shopify. Seller Ratings cost $99/mo below Enterprise, and Walmart and Bazaarvoice syndication are add-ons or upper tiers.

Pricing: tiered by monthly orders. The Shopify listing shows Free at $0 (50 orders), Essential $19/mo (200 orders), Growth $119/mo (1,500) and Power $299/mo (3,500). Advanced and Enterprise are quoted by sales, and platform bundles normally require annual terms. 14-day free trial.

7. Loox

Loox is a Shopify-exclusive visual reviews app used by 130,000+ brands, with a Built for Shopify badge and a 4.9 rating across 9,900+ App Store reviews. Photos are the point: every plan collects photo reviews, and discounts for photo and video nudge shoppers to add them. Collection is one automated request email per completed order plus reminders, QR codes and links, POS and imports, with two-way Shop app sync on every plan.

Convert and above syndicate to Google, Meta and TikTok, with Google Shopping needing more than 50 reviews. Loox Studio turns reviews into 9:16 visuals for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, and the Convert plan adds AI Review Stories, summaries, highlights, smart sorting, translations and review flagging.

Good for: Shopify brands whose products photograph well and who want review widgets that read like a gallery, at a price that scales with orders.

Not a fit for: brands off Shopify, or brands that need Google Seller Ratings or retail syndication. Convert costs more than Unlimited once you pass about 1,800 orders a month.

Pricing: public, billed through Shopify. Beginner is free up to 2,000 request emails a month and 500 total orders. Convert is $49.99/mo for the first 300 monthly orders plus $50 per additional 300, capped at $999.99 (6,000 orders). Unlimited is $299.99/mo with no quota. 14-day trial.

8. Stamped

Stamped is a reviews, loyalty and retention suite built for Shopify and Shopify Plus merchants, with Reviews, Loyalty and its Repeat retention product sold separately or together. Collection runs on post-purchase emails with in-email review forms for text, photo and video, plus Checkout Reviews on Shopify, on-site widgets, Q&A and NPS, with coupon rewards available for reviewers. Google Seller Ratings are fed from NPS reviews, so NPS has to be on.

Reviews syndicate to Google Shopping, Meta (weekly, US shops), Shop Pay and the Shop app. Since February 2026 they also reach retailers such as Walmart, Target and Best Buy through Bazaarvoice. AI covers Smart Assist writing suggestions, Smart Sentiment Analysis, and Smart Vision, which tags customer photos by color, style and pattern.

Good for: Shopify brands that want reviews and loyalty from one vendor, with a route to Walmart and Target listings through Bazaarvoice.

Not a fit for: brands off Shopify, or brands that need retail syndication without a Bazaarvoice relationship. No SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is published, and there's no free plan.

Pricing: two price lists. The website shows Reviews at $199/mo, $798/mo for multi-product access, and $100/mo per extra domain, month to month with no contract. The Shopify listing shows Reviews at $23/mo up to 200 orders, $99 up to 1,000 and $199 up to 5,000.

9. Reviews.io

Reviews.io is a UK-based reviews and UGC platform that collects company reviews as well as product reviews, and it's the broadest on platforms here: Shopify, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Wix, Squarespace and headless builds. Collection runs on post-purchase email and SMS invites, Review Booster campaigns to past customers, and in-store links and QR codes, with imports from Trustpilot, Yotpo and Judge.me. Incentives are allowed on product reviews if the reward is clearly disclosed, while company reviews must stay organic.

As a Google Licensed Partner, it feeds reviews into Google Search, Ads and Shopping, with Seller Ratings from the Start-Up plan. Plus adds Bazaarvoice syndication, shoppable UGC galleries and AI review replies, and TikTok Shop integration and Walmart.com syndication are listed in its plan comparison. AI covers review summaries, AI Insights and sentiment analysis.

Good for: brands off Shopify, or on several platforms at once, that want Google Seller Ratings and company reviews alongside product reviews.

Not a fit for: brands that need Bazaarvoice syndication or AI replies below the $499 Plus plan. Plans are capped by invites rather than orders, and no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 is published.

Pricing: public, per domain and billed annually: Free with 25 invites, Essentials $29/mo (300 invites), Start-Up $99 (1,500), Grow $299 (5,000), Plus $499 (10,000), and Enterprise by demo. Annual billing saves 20% against monthly. The Shopify listing adds Launch at $19 and Launch Plus at $45.

10. Skeepers

Skeepers is the French UGC group behind Verified Reviews, a ratings and reviews product certified by AFNOR since 2014. With Bazaarvoice and PowerReviews, it's one of three display vendors here that run their own review-generation program. It runs on Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento, WooCommerce and Salesforce, with clients such as L'Oréal and Decathlon. Collection runs on email or SMS requests after every purchase, QR codes in store and a branded form, under the NF ISO 20488 process.

Gifted Reviews sends product to vetted creators, who have 21 days to post a review of at least 250 characters, positive or negative, each marked with a distinctive label that travels in syndication. As a Google Review Partner, it feeds Seller Ratings, rich snippets and Google Shopping, and syndicates by GTIN across ecommerce and retail sites. AI covers AI Review Response, AI Review Summary, AI Review Insights and an AI agent for moderation and sentiment.

Good for: European and multi-market brands that want certified reviews and a gifted-review program from one vendor, and sell through retailers that accept Skeepers syndication.

Not a fit for: brands that need a named retailer network, since none is published, or a published SOC 2 or ISO 27001.

Pricing: Verified Reviews starts at $99/mo, with Advanced and Premium custom-quoted. The Shopify listing shows a Mini plan at $48.47/mo up to 200 orders. Gifted Reviews are quoted, and the Shopify Influence app lists $75 per review after the first three.

Generation vs. display: why does a new SKU need both?

Every display tool here collects reviews the same way. A customer buys, the tool emails or texts them after delivery, and a share of them write something. That works once a product has orders. A new SKU, a line extension or a listing that just went live on Walmart.com has none, so the request emails have nobody to go to.

Review generation fills that gap. A sampling program puts the product in the hands of people who agree to review it, and the reviews post before launch or during it. Bazaarvoice runs this through Influenster, PowerReviews through BzzAgent, Skeepers through Gifted Reviews, Yotpo through partners such as Try & Review, and Cohley through creator sampling. Most Shopify review apps don't offer it.

The rules are clear. The FTC's Rule on the Use of Consumer Reviews and Testimonials, in force since October 21, 2024, doesn't ban incentivized reviews. It bans conditioning the incentive on sentiment. The Endorsement Guides require the incentive to be disclosed, so a compliant sampling review says it came from a free product and is free to be negative.

So the decision isn't generation or display. You need display either way. The decision is which display tool fits your stack, and whether launches and retail listings happen often enough to need a generation layer in front of it. If you need creator video rather than reviews, see our guide to the best UGC platforms.

How do you choose a product review platform?

Four questions settle most of this.

Which ecommerce platform are you on? Judge.me, Okendo, Loox and Stamped are Shopify-only. Yotpo and Reviews.io also cover BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Adobe Commerce and Salesforce Commerce Cloud. Skeepers runs on Shopify, PrestaShop, Magento, WooCommerce and Salesforce. Bazaarvoice and PowerReviews are enterprise implementations rather than app installs.

How many orders a month? Under 50, the free tiers of Judge.me, Yotpo and Okendo cost nothing, and Loox Beginner covers your first 500 orders. Junip runs free to $299/mo with unlimited orders on every plan. From a few hundred to a few thousand orders, compare Judge.me's flat $15 with order-scaled pricing at Yotpo, Okendo and Loox. Published pricing ends at 3,500 orders for Okendo, 5,000 for Stamped and 5,999 for Yotpo; after that, it's a custom quote.

Do you syndicate to retail? Bazaarvoice and PowerReviews own the retailer networks. Yotpo, Okendo and Reviews.io reach Walmart or the Bazaarvoice network on upper tiers, and Stamped routes to Walmart and Target through Bazaarvoice. Judge.me and Loox stop at Google, Meta, TikTok and the Shop app.

Do you need reviews before you have orders? Only Cohley, Bazaarvoice, PowerReviews and Skeepers run a generation program, with Yotpo through partners. If launches or new retail listings are regular events, you need one of them. With Yotpo, Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews as your display tool, Cohley can sit in front of it.

Frequently asked questions

How do brands get reviews on new products?

Through sampling. Post-purchase tools need orders, so a new SKU starts at zero and stays there until someone buys. Brands fill the gap by putting product with people who agree to review it, with the free product disclosed. Cohley generates those reviews and feeds them into Yotpo, Bazaarvoice or PowerReviews, and Bazaarvoice, PowerReviews and Skeepers run their own programs.

Is review sampling FTC compliant?

Yes, when the reviewer discloses the free product and the incentive isn't tied to a positive review. The FTC's consumer reviews rule, in force since October 2024, bans conditioning incentives on sentiment, not sampling itself. Bazaarvoice badges these reviews "Received free product", PowerReviews and Skeepers label them, and Cohley builds disclosure requirements into the Brief.

Which review platforms syndicate to Walmart and Target?

Bazaarvoice and PowerReviews syndicate to both through their retailer networks. Yotpo reaches Walmart on Premium and Enterprise and names Target among its retail partners. Okendo reaches the Bazaarvoice network on Advanced and lists Walmart.com as an add-on. Reviews.io adds Bazaarvoice on Plus, and Stamped routes to Walmart and Target through Bazaarvoice.

What's the best product review app for Shopify?

Judge.me if price and ratings decide it: 5.0 across 49,000+ App Store reviews at $15 a month. Loox if photos sell your product, and Junip for unlimited orders on a free plan.
